Time management: Do’s and Dont’s

Time management- just 2 words, seems very simple. isnt it? Yes, it indeed is simple but a lot of us fail to follow this simple thing. The reason behind this being say carelessness or dependence on others.
I am a final year engineering student studying Electronics & Communication. This is my first ever blog post, please bear if i make any mistakes.

So, we were talking about Time management. Time management i think is an art in itself, the art of handling your work schedule. Work schedule may not only be related to a person working in an office or an industry, rather it also includes the students. As a student i would like to share some tips regarding time management.

As a kid i was very mischievous and naughty, I often thought studies was the worst thing in life. But the truth is that life doesn’t exist without knowledge. So as i grew up i started developing interest in studies as i had no other work to do. Yes, i was studious! mite sound wierd but even i was amazed to see it happen.

I aspired to become an Engineer since my childhood, this dream was backed by my parents too. The most important thing i did during my student life is that i concentrated a lot on studies without affecting my enjoyment. That wasn’t easy but, because i got only 24 hours a day to study as well as enjoy. So, here arises a question, how did i manage to do it? the answers very simple- PLANNING. Bingo! plan your things and your right there. Students take too much stress when exams are around the corner. I can understand it, but it can be tackled. Be as calm like there are no exams. Plan what subjects you are going to study on that particular day. I wont suggest to go with a single subject a day, that increases stress and you are limited. Dont sit glued to a subject always, plan chapter wise or even divide the chapters. Think about the future, you should be able to know how many chapters can you complete in a week. Depending on this make a time table of which subjects and which chapters for a day. Plan this each week and also keep some time for revision. Do take breaks in between studies.

Okay enough for today, will continue this post some other time. Take care, happy studying.
